Kris Bertus, Director of Elem Ed Ministries
Kris Bertus became a part of the Abiding Savior staff on June 19, 2006 as the Director of Elementary Christian Education. She coordinates the children’s ministries and the volunteers involved in the Sunday School, FW Friends, Children’s Church, Bible School, and Christmas programs.
Kris came from a background of 35 years in public education where she was a counselor and teacher for a variety of ages at the Juvenile Detention Center as well as in a first grade classroom.
She has had the privilege of serving as Sunday School Superintendent, teacher, and children’s music leader during her 10 years at Abiding Savior.
She and her husband Jerre have one daughter, Molly, who is in a Nursing Program in Springfield, Missouri. She enjoys homemaking, family activities, reading, and friendships.
