Carla Tibbetts, Director of Train Up a Child Preschool and Kindergarten
Carla was called to Train Up A Child as Director/Teacher at its beginning in September of 1999. She graduated from Augustana College with a BA in Elementary Education and has been working with and caring for young children since 1989.
Before joining Train Up A Child Preschool she enjoyed 5 years of owning/operating Little Saints Children's Center in downtown Sioux Falls. As a teacher in the preschool ministry she is thankful to have the privilege of sharing the Gospel with young children and the responsibility of laying a Biblical foundation in their lives.
As the Director of TUAC, she oversees daily activity in the preschool, serves as liason for preschool staff, fulfills enrollment requirements and serves on the School Ministries Board.
She and her husband Ted have three children and one grandchild. During the winter months she enjoys reading and scrapbooking, while in the summer her passion is scuba diving, spearfishing and boating.
Her favorite Bible verse is Matthew 7:13-14, "Enter through the narrow gate; for the gate is wide and the way is broad that leads to destruction, and there are many who enter through it. For the gate is small and the way is narrow that leads to life, and there are few who find it."
