Bill Mitchell, Pastor of Care Ministries

Bill Mitchell, born in Chicago, Ill and moved to Sioux Falls, S.D. with his wife Gail, a RN at Sioux Valley Hospital, in 1975.
Attending Sioux Falls College (now known as University of Sioux Falls), he received a degree in teaching. After graduating, he taught junior high age children for 22 years in Beresford, S.D.
Bill and Gail have two children, Scott who lives in California, and Jeff their younger son, who was killed in a train/car accident in April of 2000 at the age of 19. They rest in peace knowing that Jeff is with the Lord.
The Mitchell’s also have a spoiled member of the family, Scout, a delightful sheltie.
Bill and Gail have been attending Abiding Savior since November of 1999. In June of 2001, Bill felt called by God to serve the church. Bill is a licensed pastor with the AFLC and counts it a blessing to be used of God to humbly serve the congregation at Abiding Savior. His job consists of visitations to hospitals, nursing homes and shut-ins. He also does counseling, weddings and funerals.
