About the Class

This class provides an extension to your child's social and academic growth. Classroom activities will place an emphasis on those skills that will be an asset to your child's preparation for Kindergarten.

During the year, we attend Chapel, play in the gym, dabble in small science experiments, create in art, adventure out on field trips, juggle basic math facts, get the rhythm in music and prepare "gourmet" snacks in cooking. We will put great emphasis on number and letter recognition. Our choice of Bible Curriculum is Group's Hands-On-Bible Curriculum. We use this curriculum during class time and during our weekly Chapel time.

This class was first offered as a response to parents desire to extend their child's education experience. The class provides an extension to your child's social and academic growth. Classroom activities will place an emphasis on those skills that will be an asset to your child's preparation for Kindergarten.

During the year, we will play in the gym, attend Chapel, dabble in small science experiments, create in art, adventure out on field trips, juggle basic math facts, get the rhythm in music and from time to time prepare "gourmet" snacks in cooking. We will put a stronger emphasis on number and letter recognition and will introduce phonics as a pre-reading strategy. Our choice of Bible Curriculum is Group's Hands-On-Bible Curriculum. We use this curriculum during class time and during our weekly Chapel time.
